Jonathan Davis – Founder
His mother will tell you, beginning with an idea for automating a 12 pound book called the Dictionary of Occupational Titles before the Internet was widely accepted and continuing through 3 e-commerce companies in both New York City and Texas during the dot.com “craze”, Jonathan’s obsession for questioning the norm and building efficient systems has grown from being an interesting quirk to a full-fledged career. After five years as a Principal in a Staff Leasing and HR-Outsourcing firm he started working on the one area where he saw the biggest lack of viable, repeatable solutions for CEOs and their Companies: Hiring. A self-professed “Operational Dork”, Jonathan is responsible for the strategic leadership of the HireBetter Team as they continue to revolutionize the identification and evaluation of talent through their focus on process, metrics and technology. Put more simply, he lives to help companies HIREBETTER ®.
He graduated from the University at Albany in upstate New York and shortly thereafter was lured away by the environment and lifestyle of Austin where he met his wife Kelly on a blind date. An active member of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), he sits on the Global Committee for Emerging Programs and recently completed his term as the Champion for EO’s Accelerator Program. A 2010 graduate of MIT’s “Birthing of Giants” Entrepreneurial Master’s Program, he has yet to outgrow his insatiable thirst for learning or obsession with breaking things. This has led him to become a technology junkie in the last few years and he spends most evenings working well past midnight with our Development Team to improve our proprietary web-based software that we call The Talent Vault ®. When he’s not at the office you’ll find him goofing off with his kids Gigi and Cash, officiating a college baseball game or educating perfect strangers on the merits of Capitalism.
He’d encourage you to check out his HireBetterBlog or follow him on Twitter where he comments on everything from leading at a higher level to the perils of having two young children.
